The first of our donations to Kids Care Orphanage!!!
I am happy to announce that we received the first of our donations that we will be taking to Kids Care Orphanage when we travel to get my brothers. A friend of mine donated the most beautiful infant blankets. Her mom made them and was kind enough to just give them to us to take. I am so grateful for God placing such kind hearted people in my life. These blankets will be so loved by the children receiving them!
If anyone has thing they would like to donate feel free to let us know, we would love to take it with us. Things that are most needed are gently worn clothes of all sizes, there are children from infancy to teens. The older children need clothing more than the younger because most of the clothes donated are for young children. Also any baby items: Baby toys, crib mirrors, noise makers anything that will promote motor development. Keep in mind there are multiple babies to one nurse and many of them just lay in the cribs all day, so anything that will help them learn and experience new things would help more than you can imagine.

think about it..
It's late and i cant sleep so I'm back to tell you a little more about my trip to Africa. The day i saw little street kids eating rotten fruit might have been the hardest thing i have ever seen, You know we would throw an apple away because it's ''no good'' ''soft'' ''bad''. Those beautiful kids were sitting there with the biggest smile on their face just to have food they didn't care if it wasn't good or the best..it was filling their empty tummy's..it could be the only meal they would get for weeks..i don't know if that hurts your heart but it does mine!!
I cant tell ya'll how excited i am to get my little brothers! The room is done we just have to wait for that phone call..and trust me when we do you all will know! I'm so happy that my family can change some little child's life forever. We will hug them like there is no tomorrow kiss them even if they don't want to be kissed, tuck them in a warm safe bed, read then bed time a story, get them new shoes that don't hurts their cute little feet, teach them about Jesus and how much he love them. Guys i really cant wait to get them here!!
"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turns this face torward you and give you peace."
God Bless,

Hello Friends.
Hello Friends,
We are writing to ask you to do some serious praying for our family as we move forward in our adoption process. Satan is attacking of course and trying to scatter our thoughts and having us go out on our own. Each very bad!
Would you pray James 1:1-8 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should as God, who give generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him, But when he ask, he much believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave in the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does." James 1:4-8
Along with
"Once our eyes are opened, we can't pretend we don't know what to do.God, who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, knows what we know, and holds us responsible to act." Proverbs 24:12
Would you pray these over our family. We know that God has the children already picked out and it is definetly not going to be an easy task, but it is His plan for us and what He starts He will finish. We just need to stay faithful!
We truly appreciate all of you and have been so blessed by your friendships. We are praying for your families as well.
May God Bless you generously, Tim, Dawn, Tella and Casey Greathouse

Update
A bit of a trying day. Casey, our fifteen year old daughter, was admitted to the hospital today for abdominal pain. She is pretty miserable. Hopefully they can find out what the problem is soon and get her back on her feet again........because
we got a call from America World Adoption today that our homestudy has been approved by them and we are now able to review information about two brothers that we are considering adopting. It is both exciting and frightening at the same time. They are a little older than we had initially planned for, but we are trusting God to give us His guidance, wisdom and strength to follow His plan for us. Please continue to pray for us to be discerning and make the correct decision. Also for Casey to be back to healthy soon and for God to continue to prepare our sons for the huge transition that is ahead of them. Regardless of whether or not you desire the change, change is nevertheless difficult. I am praying for a smooth transition, for them to have the best care they are able to and for them to be being taught the word of God now. We will keep you posted with new updates. Thanks for your prayers!
