Hello All, I wanted to share this web address about a young man we had met last June while in Ethiopia. I encourage you to take some time to see how God has used something that we would probably think is pure devastation to touch so many people lives. No just the street boys that Robel takes care of by even us halfway around the world.
I didn't plan it when we went to Africa, but God has placed it in mine and my families hearts to adopt......sometimes I have to tell you, I think this is a crazy idea......just last night I thought....I could just forget this whole thing and buy that Red Mustang Convertable that I had planned to buy and let Casey drive me around (with the understanding that she couldn't leave me somewhere)
As I thought.......I remembered what God has said about not placing my desires on things of this world..but of higher things that can't and won't be destroyed. My plans are not God's plans and I fully trust that He knows what is best. As Casey said in our Sunday School class last Sunday when posed with the question; "What is God calling me to do?" and "What is my response?". She answered, "When God tells me to do something, He won't let me keep quiet about it....I have to do it! Even if I don't want to do it."
I know that God will complete what He has started, but I must admit that I do worry sometimes about X number of things. I would ask that you lift our family up in prayer individually and as a family that we would follow the path that God has for us and not go to the left or the right, but stay exactly in the middle of the path.
